Inspired by architecture
Mido's philosophy combines aesthetics, authenticity and functionality. The refined, understated designs of Mido watches endow them with a resolutely timeless quality. Beyond fashion and passing trends, Mido watches are thus distinguished by their durability. Mido shares these essential values with iconic and historic architectural design glories. Cutting-edge technical innovations, mechanical movements known for their excellence and high-quality materials are the three pillars on which the watch brand’s unique expertise rests. For nearly a century, Mido has been a global benchmark in Swiss made mechanical watches.
Mido watches are available from 2,700 official retailers in 70 countries. The brand is part of the Swatch Group, the world leader in watchmaking.
Friends of the brand
Brodie Pawson discovered Parkour whilst watching Casino Royale with his brother Dylan. Ten years later he is a professional Parkour athlete and participates in the Australian Ninja Warrior competition. His relationship with Mido started in 2017. Today, Brodie and Dylan create visual content to promote the Multifort collection.
Founded in Switzerland in 1918 by Georges Schaeren, Mido is today based in the city of Le Locle, in the heart of the Swiss Jura mountains. The name Mido comes from the Spanish «Yo mido», meaning «I measure».
MIDO & UIA
MIDO has a particularly strong attachment to architecture and is reinforcing this bond through a partnership with the International Union of Architects (UIA), the world's foremost network of architecture professionals. MIDO draws its inspiration from iconic architectural achievements that have made their mark on history. It is therefore only natural for the brand to enter into a partnership with the UIA, a partnership based on common values shared by the watchmaking brand and the leading global federation of national architects’ organisations.
Mido and Parkour athletes share a passion for architecture. The company and these masters of concrete also share the same core values of audacity, precision, and a constant quest for perfection. To take this association to new heights, Mido has launched a collaboration with three young Parkour sportsmen at the top of their game: the Australian Brodie Pawson, the Frenchman Thomas Mougne and the Mexican Ricardo Gonzalez Martinez. With a sturdy Multifort watch on their wrists, these three friends of the brand communicate their passion through photos and videos on their Instagram accounts, embodying Mido’s confidence in the future and its relationship with architecture.
