São Miguel, 22nd of June 2019
The volcanic archipelago and crystalline waters of the Azores region (Portugal) hosted the 4th stop of the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series 2019. In this exceptional scenery classified as a nature reserve, the athletes performed stunning dives: high precision and pure lines were once again at the rendezvous.
At the end of this stop – the fourth of a series of 7 – the Mexican cliff diver and MIDO’s Friend of the Brand Jonathan Paredes (MX) scored 417.50 points. His extreme precision, pure lines and grace allowed him to grab the 2nd place.
Gary Hunt, winner of this fourth stop, was awarded a MIDO Ocean Star Diver 600. Water-resistant up to a pressure of 60 bar, shock-resistant and perfectly legible even in the darkness of the sea depths, the Ocean Star Diver 600 is the diving watch par excellence.
In the overall standings, Jonathan Paredes (MX) is 2nd. MIDO is very proud of his Friend of the Brand and wishes him every success in the next stages of the competition.
